stormy weather

There's quite a bit of stormy weather up in northern Indiana, including some tornado warnings. I'm located further south, so perhaps we will get some good storms. It's very windy right now so I'm sure the storms are headed my way. I hope we don't have tornadic cells, but I must admit I am looking forward to a good thunderstorm.

We just got a small cell that's out in front of the line of tornadic storms. The most impressive thing it did was lower the temperature about 4-6 degrees.

I'm waiting on that squall line, though!

*enthusiastically waves back* I know what you mean - I am watching the weather channel right now. I've got my eye on the squall line, too. I'm wondering if I am too far south for any of the severe weather (southern Hamilton county, just north of Indy)

Ooh. We're going to get that tomorrow here in central PA.
I'm excited, except that it's going to drag down our beautiful temperatures from 85 to 65. Ah, well. Spring ain't over yet!

I know what you mean - it's a strong cold front! But I think that the temps will rebound fairly quickly.

Just got a severe t-storm warning issued for my county and the two north of me.

"trained weather spotters reported a line of severe thunderstorms producing destructive winds in excess of 70 mph."

"history of producing widespread wind damage across much of Kosciusko County!"

"Go to a basement or small interior room. Evacuate Mobile homes...and seek shelter inside a sturdy structure." <

wow! Keep safe - that sounds like quite a little storm that blew through your area. We have not yet had anything except for wind; I think we're just going to get some rain and a few storms.

It wasn't that impressive. A couple gusts to 28mph and a bit of rain, but they cancelled the warning about 20-25 minutes early.

Nice gust front came through right before the storm, though.

Don't you just love a spring time storm? Watching the lighting and the rumble from them? *g*

As long as you and hubby are in the clear from the most severe weather!
