More on scanlation volunteers...

I asked before who would be willing to help edit scans from the available translations and had several volunteers.  Thanks for that and they've been a huge help.  Several other questions have occurred to me since then and I wanted to open a general post.

Mainly, Aonoao 3 is going to take awhile to translate, but I know rui1412 has expressed an ( Read more... )

Well, for me, the problem is actually more on whether the doujins are safe for work/family or not. Because if they aren't, I'm gonna be hard-pressed to find a time where I could work on it (especially since my family just shares a room, which sometimes makes me wish that I was single-child, but I rather like having brothers to boss around ( ... )

That's great! :D Also, can I take NSFWF to mean anything R-18 or does that also apply to obviously shounen-ai (kissing, making out, etc.)? I want to check if you're like me and the less my family knows about yaoi the better, or if you just don't want to work on anything involving adult content around them. Either can be awkward. :P

Wish I had brothers. *pout* Thanks for the heads up on the first 4. Five /was/ your idea. :D A community and/or spreadsheet sounds like a great idea. I'm not sure if everyone would use a community, but keeping track of progress in a group document and posting questions there would also be a good way to keep track. We would have to sort out what way would be best for everyone willing to keep contact with. Hmmm. A friends locked LJ might be best. That way people could post the pages they're having issues with or want to compare on the site and bring up issues they're having. We'll just have to see who gets involved first though.

:)) My family doesn't even realize that I read anything romance, so doesn't matter if it's shounen-ai or het, kissing and anything above it is practically NSFWF for me.

Well, I wish I didn't have an older sister who could boss me around. :)) Unfortunately, she's not disappearing... yet. >:)

Yeah, the link to the group document could be put on the community. Questions can actually be placed on the document itself, (I think people would actually be looking at the document more than the community itself, to be honest.) Okay on the seeing who gets involved part.

I'm amused. The control freak part of me is demanding to do a profiling document, though my brain already understands it's not necessary. lol

I can't do translation just editing (now that is out of the way) I never did any editing I don't know if I'm fast, but I live alone (so no problems for not work safe stuff) and I do have a job so I only have some hour at night and the week-end, if I don't have other activities (cosplay fan here).

I'm never really available near holiday because I visit family at those time.

And because I'm new at editing I prefer to try small project first.

Aonoao is OK for me but usually I don't really like non-con in fanfic and doujinshi. That all for the thing I prefer to work with.
