Going in and out of the lab for the next hour or so. Just centrifuging my sample. Kelvin and Amanda are both on the 4th floor while Shokei/Riccardo/Anthony are all on the 3rd, but my supervisor's lab is on the 6th floor. It kinda feels so lonely up there ( Read more... )

Surprisingly, we finish early this semester. My last final's on the 12th. This is the first time I finish exams efore my b-day since I'm in university. :)

But the bad thing is everything's cram together. Classes done on the 4th, my first day exam's on the 6th, which I'll have 2 exams... ;_; and I have one last assignment to hand in the next day. 11th and 12th both has one exam. *screams*

Wow, the 12th is pretty early. I'm done on the 13th but the last day of exams is the...20th or 21st. I have to stay until the 22nd anyway.

Eeep. *hugs* You'll be okay!!! It'll be over really soon = )

Maybe you could help me with my budget...(but I wouldn't subject you to more of that)

I don't wanna gooooo. I also don't wanna tell my parents. I also need to find time, and the health centre on campus has a huuuuge line-up. *sigh*

Silly Zazu, I understand you even when you're incoherent, heehee. *snugs* Hope you slept well = )

Could you really? Oooooh!!!

I know... Actually, the arm's a lot better this week, I was even knitting two days ago (I couldn't concentrate on nano stuffff) and it feels okay, but I'm cautious and I'm taking breaks and such. Omg I am -sooo- close to finishing your scarf. Soooo clooseeeeee.

I've managed to cut my christmas shopping list in half this year by deciding to crochet stuffed toys for most of my friends and a couple of my family. The yarn still adds up a little, of course, but I'm still spending maybe a third of the total it would cost me to get them all acceptable store-bought gifts and I think they'll like these more. :D And they're so small, they go fast! I'm waiting for some animal eyes off of ebay to finish two kitties but I'm nearly done those two (of five?) and it's going well so far. Being able to crochet simultaneously while reading or watching tv is great too, as I'm sure you're familiar with. But yeah, damn Christmas. I went to the mall this afternoon (for yarn...) and it depressed me a bit.

How come I never knew you crochet???!?!?
I do scarves instead of toys, and uh, yeah, the yarn definitely adds up there (waaah wool = expensiiivveee). But I can only make so many scarves for the same people, lol. Also, if they spend money on me, I feel really bad not spending something at least moderately equivalent on them.

I'd love to see what stuff you crochet and what yarn you use, etc. I can only do very simple crocheting, haven't tried lace or working in round or anything. But yay, yarn!!! *glomps you*

I definitely rediscovered crochet like this spring, lol. My mom taught me how when I was a kid but I did not have the patience to finish afghans and stuff (her typical project of choice). But my old roommate crochets (and knits) and I stole one of her pattern books to make a cowboy hat that looked like it would be fun to do, which it was, and I've decided I like crocheting again. As long as I do projects that I can finish and use. :D I also sort of learned to knit years ago but I hated it so I am not a knitter.

Some of my flist is getting this year's xmas projects but I think I might take pics of the stuff and maybe post it after xmas, so you'll be able to see the results then. :) Amigurumi are really interesting to do; they count as intermediate level projects but they're mostly only made out of single crochet done in a spiral (and then sew the parts together), so once you've done one I think it gets really easy and addictive. I've been working off of free patterns, but the last project I'm going to do for xmas will be kind of ( ... )

Yeah I keep telling myself I'll make an afghan. I even have yarn for it (even though I'm not altogether completely joyful about the colours, but the yarn was cheap) but it'll probably never happen, lol. Cowboy hat sounds awesome, lol.

Most of the amigurumi I see is crochet and not knit. I can do both, but I keep forgetting to bring my crochet hooks to university. *doh!!!* Not that I have time with all the scarves, but...

Heehee, some people don't like acrylic but it really is a great 'invention'. I have too many leftover balls of stuff. If you're doing small projects maybe you'd like some? I could take a pic of all my willing-to-part-with yarn, lol. I also keep telling myself I'll sell some stuff on eBay. I currently still have not.

*flails* OMGS! You are stacked to the gills with work, no wonder I miss you so much! You're buried alive! ACK! *waves stick at the piles of time consuming work* Get Back, I say! Get away from her. *whispers* I don't think it'll help that much, but I tried. -.-'

Any way... I know you're working really hard so I hope it flies by and you'll get a break once it's all over. *snugs*

And you can definitely sign me up for holiday cards. You're added to my list as well, but just pop over to my last post and pick which option you want to receive.

I feel sooo terrible that I keep falling further and further behind on the Flist. I miss you and your entries and you some more. (Thanks for the help, lol - I think they're a little scared of you now but they seem to realize you're only here every once in a while so when you leave they come back full force...)

And you too. I know I'm not the only one with a big workload. *snugs you and all the other students on the Flist*

I kind of waffled on the options, but if you'd like me to actually say a number then I'll go back over and do so. Just let me know = )

I concur with the rantness! drygonrose November 20 2007, 06:53:08 UTC
Hehe just commenting on the ranting. I'm getting tired of people asking me if they have to get someone a present. Suck it up and ask them yourself or something. If I lurve you lots, I shall get you a present. That is all. :p Also stop thinking what I'm thinking! P.S. i demand a present emerge itself for you.

Yeah, I'm pretty annoyed with that too. Like, I do understand, courtesy blah blah blah, but still. Totally they should just ask them themselves.

Nooo, you're thinking what -I'm- thinking. You = copying meee.

P.S. I demand you get me a present better than Chilton's (I have no idea what he's getting but he seems proud of it...)
