Going in and out of the lab for the next hour or so. Just centrifuging my sample. Kelvin and Amanda are both on the 4th floor while Shokei/Riccardo/Anthony are all on the 3rd, but my supervisor's lab is on the 6th floor. It kinda feels so lonely up there

I know... Actually, the arm's a lot better this week, I was even knitting two days ago (I couldn't concentrate on nano stuffff) and it feels okay, but I'm cautious and I'm taking breaks and such. Omg I am -sooo- close to finishing your scarf. Soooo clooseeeeee.

How come I never knew you crochet???!?!?
I do scarves instead of toys, and uh, yeah, the yarn definitely adds up there (waaah wool = expensiiivveee). But I can only make so many scarves for the same people, lol. Also, if they spend money on me, I feel really bad not spending something at least moderately equivalent on them.
I'd love to see what stuff you crochet and what yarn you use, etc. I can only do very simple crocheting, haven't tried lace or working in round or anything. But yay, yarn!!! *glomps you*

Some of my flist is getting this year's xmas projects but I think I might take pics of the stuff and maybe post it after xmas, so you'll be able to see the results then. :) Amigurumi are really interesting to do; they count as intermediate level projects but they're mostly only made out of single crochet done in a spiral (and then sew the parts together), so once you've done one I think it gets really easy and addictive. I've been working off of free patterns, but the last project I'm going to do for xmas will be kind of ( ... )

Most of the amigurumi I see is crochet and not knit. I can do both, but I keep forgetting to bring my crochet hooks to university. *doh!!!* Not that I have time with all the scarves, but...
Heehee, some people don't like acrylic but it really is a great 'invention'. I have too many leftover balls of stuff. If you're doing small projects maybe you'd like some? I could take a pic of all my willing-to-part-with yarn, lol. I also keep telling myself I'll sell some stuff on eBay. I currently still have not.

Any way... I know you're working really hard so I hope it flies by and you'll get a break once it's all over. *snugs*
And you can definitely sign me up for holiday cards. You're added to my list as well, but just pop over to my last post and pick which option you want to receive.

And you too. I know I'm not the only one with a big workload. *snugs you and all the other students on the Flist*
I kind of waffled on the options, but if you'd like me to actually say a number then I'll go back over and do so. Just let me know = )
