I really want a yarn swift of some kind. I don't do a ton of spinning since I only have a drop spindle and I don't spin all that often, but still. I've been reading spinning/dyeing books from the library all summer and it motivates me to spin, but now the summer's over. Sadness ( Read more... )

Hey, that's a new spindle! Where'd you get it, and why? Or did you make it?
Lovely spinning, btw. Better than mine! But then, you have MUCH nicer roving.

I had drop spindle lessons downtown and the lessons included the spindle. But the one you saw is much lighter and can spin finer yarns, so I'll probably be using that one for merino after this.

Lol, the roving you see there is undoubtedly much nicer. I'm sure you can spin better than me!!!
