Hey Laursh! Don't worry, I've always gotten the "Do I really want to do this?" jitters before a big move or a long trip far away. Just remember that 1) it's only temporary and 2) in the end you'll be so glad you went.
I know this is probably all duh statements to you, but I thought I'd put my two cents in. Plus, I know that no culture is perfect, and my friend Natsumi sometimes tells me of bad things that happen in Japan...but still, Japanese people are SO AWESOME!!!! ^_^;
Best of luck on your trip Laursh, I know you'll have a great time.

Thank you Julie! That was such a reassuring comment! I know you have traveled abroad and I could tell that you understand where I am coming from ( ... )

Good luck with moving. Leaving your buddies behind is really rough.

PS Your're so right that gay men are so much easier to get along with than straight guys. Most straight men have this whole, "Uh, your not hot. I don't want to be with you." attitude. The irony is that I live in the midwest where most guys look like Larry the Cable guy. *shakes head*

Thanks for the good luck! I will need all the strength I can get!
I KNOW! Why do men have such impossible standards when most of the time they don't put effort in for our aesthetics. Gay men are nicer and have better looks! In the reverse, I just expect men to wear suits all the time!!!! Or dress in a fab way with bangs and etc. To be perfect, ideal and rich!!! Be nice all at once. lol, I can dream!!! Everyone should strive in my mind to either look like or act Napoleon or Illya. hahahaha.
If they can't do that, then he shouldn't make me feel like I have to put so much in!! Let's be equal!!!

I am creeped out by people in the 18 year old-ish category, because they really do make me feel old. It feels like it wasn't that long ago that I was that age, but when I see them now there's such a huge disconnect. Bleh ( ... )

Yeah, 18 year olds are interesting. I agree that It doesn't feel too long ago for me eithrt yet I feel I am developmentally past their stage, which makes me feel older. 18 year olds have so much to learn and to think, we were once at that stage/age ( ... )
