So a little rambling. It's Not a Holiday Tree. Nor is it a Christmas Tree. IT'S A MOTHER-FUCKING SATURNALIA TREE!

actually the tradition of decorating a tree was originated by pagans, druids, egyptians, chineese and hebrews, decorated with apples, fruits and candles to represent plentiful food to come and warmth and brightness.
... there is no tree in the celebration of saturnalia (which was originated to raise morale after a crushing militairy defeat)

the christmas tree, as we know it, was a german tradition that was picked up by the british and americans after world war 1. prior to that, they had never seen a tree with lit candles on it

i actually read that too, and had it typed, but got rid of it because the part i typed was first, and i figured someone else would add that. i couldnt hog all the facts.
