After all these years of fangirling, actually watching the episodes is a mixed bag. On one hand, there are moments that I totally forgot existed. On the other, I'm looking for things that aren't there.
Something I forgot: Keroberos throws himself under falling Sakura and Yue to catch them on his back. That would hurt!
Something I got wrong: I swear, I thought Yue was in a courtyard, when he told Syaoran that his feelings were just moon attraction. Instead, I see that the only concrete around was the path through the tree lined area.
Teddy Bear is one of my favorite episodes, even if that little annoyance known as Eriol was involved. Have I bitched abotu Eriol yet?
And hey.At least Kero DID. Pretty sure in the manga? Yue just slams into thr ground *while holding Sakura and keeping her safe iJHWRIJBWE) I usually find Kero to be kind of a jerk in the anime compred to the manga, but this is dandy!
Li, watching and waiting, just in time to catch Sakura before she fell. Aw, that's my man.
Okay, so this moment here at lunch is really really huge, and I want to make sure no one misses it. Tomoyo passed out the first generation of phones very early in season one, back when it was just the two girls and Kero, and that's been their communication network this whole time. Though Li and Sakura have been implicit partners for a long time now (emphasis on the implicit), nobody made it formal until now. This simple act of Tomoyo handing Li a phone to include him in the official network makes the partnership explicit. He's not the rival from Hong Kong anymore, he's one of them. It's a moment well overdue, but I also think Li probably sensed that change deep in his emotionally stunted self, and realized he's crossing a smoldering bridge. The phone is just one more step closer to the other side

Plus, Tomoyo/Syaoran friendship is awesome. I'd like to think if Meiling were still there, she would've gotten one too. They're all Scoobies.
It makes me wonder if Yue exerted some kind of influence so that Yukito would 'accidentally' go home with Touya's book, giving him the reason to visit Kinomoto central later. And I know I'm all alone on Team Merge, but I'm serious--they talk about how Yue doesn't have enough energy. Isn't maintaining the facade taking up energy? Jettisoning the unnecessary disguise seems the best way to save energy. If you didn't have enough money for the month, you wouldn't just sit around going, "Well, I don't have any money, I guess." You'd be looking for ways to save and more efficiently use what you do have. If you were smart, that is. I guess if you're a giant leech, you'd be looking for ways to guilt people you know into giving your theirs instead of fixing your own problem first
