Okay, I was a little unfair before. Yes, the Wonderland and Spinel episodes are a lowpoint of this season (and series) for me (Wonderland versions of the characters could have been interesting if we'd actually spent enough time with them for the humor to really develop, and Spinel going cracked out on candy just isn't funny)... but I will say that the Elevator starts off a string of really good episodes

So if Syaoran and the Elevator is the episode that I spend all season anticipating, this is the episode that I absolutely dread. It’s like a slow train wreck in motion, and there is nothing I can do to stop it. Still, nothing that can be done except to take a breath, dive in, and get it over with

This entire situation is probably a result of poor judgement on Li’s part; he handled this badly. Not that I blame him, because he’s a ten year old kid and can hardly be expected to know better.
Although having just spent three days with my nephew who is this same age, I'm impressed by Syaoran's growth and maturity. As badly as he handled it, he still had empathy and was aware and sorry that he was hurting someone.
