I really liked that. You captured Harry’s emotions very well and I somehow felt even a little ashamed of reading something that seems so personal. Almost like an entry in a diary. Which it really could be because Snape is (unfortunately) dead and Harry knows that he won’t answer. I would have loved to read his respond.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank you so much! I was worried because I know it tends to jump from one thing to another, but it seemed to work for a letter. It got away from me a bit. I think it was because I wrote it a couple of days after I finished DH (yeah, I'm way behind :-)) and it just seemed like Harry would have so many unresolved feelings toward Snape.

I'm having a hard time figuring out how to handle Snape with this, because it seems like he should have a chance to respond somehow, but I hate to start "fixing" canon too much.

Anyway, thanks so much for commenting. I was a little very nervous about this one. :-)

This was really good. Of course, I have a weak spot for dark, misunderstood anti-heroes, and I've always thought Snape got the short end of the stick from Harry & company all the way through the novels.

I'm glad you're looking at the relationship between Harry/Snape, and this was a wonderful first step/letter in that exploration.

You couldn’t look at me without yelling and I couldn’t stop hating you long enough to listen.

If they could have both put aside their biases...who knows what might have happened...

Thank you! I was really frustrated at the way things were handled, too. In a way, she avoided a pat ending, but at the same time, I felt cheated. And I really think that Harry would have felt cheated as well, especially when it was revealed that Snape and Lily were close.

I was actually very happy with that line. It wasn't as elegant as I would have liked, but I really feel like it summed up so many parts of their relationship.

Thank you again for the comment and I'm sorry it took so long to reply.

I love this.

It's very Harry and I like the way you write him and his opinion of Snape.

Well Done. x
