Wow, I've missed LJ.  It feels like nothing's changed, which is nice cause it makes me feel like I haven't missed much the past 3 years.

I basically only skimmed this (MMOs and gaming are basically a foreign language to me) but regarding going to Japan - have you considered applying to something like JET where they take Americans to Japan to teach English to students?

I almost applied to JET in my last year of school but it fell through cause I decided too close to the deadline, and I applied to the company Aeon last month or the month before and had an interview with them but they didn't offer me a position. I didn't want to work with them anyway, their rules were too strict. Plus I don't really want to be a teacher anyway.
