I'm starting to get the feeling that a "get the hell out of town" weekend is going to be on the agenda in the not-too-distant future. I've got rat medication to give for another week and a half, but after that I'm more than amenable to skipping town for a couple of days. And there's more than enough space to haul some other folks.

But don't call the Chicago people "Northerners," because that makes us "Southerners" by comparison. And I should probably lay off the obligatory redneck accent 'round these parts.

Well 'round these parts I feel like I'm in the South. I'm sure I'm not getting the "real" Southern experience but it's certainly a far cry from the Chi-land realm.

Can you get real southern grits in your parts? I've found that to be a much better indicator than the Mason-Dixon line.

Unrelated question (because I'm too lazy to pop into gmail), what email address should I use to contact a certain friend of yours who wishes to remain anonymous on LJ? I've been using her gmail by default.

You could say Upstate. Upstate and Downstate. Chicago and everywhere else. ;)
