So people keep asking me, "How's the weather down there?" Well I'll tell you. It's been rather gorgeous lately. Even though it was November, we could go jogging in t-shirts. You need to call it something other than an island. Once Thar gets silly ideas in his head, like burying treasure under his island, or plundering the island for rum and booty, well..

Call it a kitchen platform or something similar! :)

Haha! If he did decide to put buried treasure under the island, it would end up in the crawl space under the house. Here's hoping that's scary enough to act as a deterrent. Although with the poured epoxy counter we could put the treasure map right embedded in the counter. Heck we could embed the treasure right into the counter! It'd drive people mad trying to get at the booty. Then we'd have an army of mad people to go and do our bidding! What a fabulous idea!
I suppose, though, it's probably safer all around to just call it a kitchen platform storage center or something. Or even break out the trendifier and call it a breakfast nook. Uber Trendiness is always good Thar repellent.

Calling it a platform won't work. I'd try to mount a laser turret on it.
