Junghwa bounces excitedly around the Christmas tree. “It’s Christmas time… it’s Christmas time!” She sings happily, much to the amusement of Ok Taecyeon, who sits leisurely on the couch.
“Is it really that exciting, Junghwa?” Taecyeon says, quite amused by the 18-year-old’s antics. Junghwa nods enthusiastically, still jumping around.
Suddenly, she grinds to a halt, distress visible in her eyes.
“What’s wrong, Hwa?” Taecyeon says, surprised by the sudden change in mood and slightly worried about the usually bubbly girl.
“I … Oppa!” Junghwa exclaims, voice distraught and tears threatening to pool.
“What is it?” Taecyeon answers gently, seeing that Junghwa is near tears.
“I didn’t get you a present!” Junghwa cries unhappily, and Taecyeon embraces her gently.
“I don’t need a present from you, Junghwa…” Taecyeon says, and Junghwa lifts her head in confusion.
“What…?” She says shakily, and Taecyeon smiles lovingly.
“I don’t need a present from you.” He repeats.
“Why?” Junghwa questions, a tinge of hurt barely visible in her eyes.
“You’re the one thing I want in my life… why would you need to give me anything else? I already have you.”
