It had been over 4 years already. Four years, Hyun-Ah mused, since she had begun her training. Three and a half years since discovering Kyuhyun was part of SM Entertainment as well. One year since her career began as an actress and a model. Six months since she moved with Han Geng to the newly decided 'Super Junior 05' dorm.
And yet, she had never felt so lonely.

"Hyun-Ah!" Junghwa called, waving at her quiet friend.
Hyun-Ah smiled. "Junghwa!" she responded, walking slowly towards Junghwa. They were in year 2 of middle school now. Super Junior 05 had debuted not long ago.
"Ah, I'm glad school is finally over!" Junghwa exclaimed happily.
"Yeah." Hyun-Ah agreed quietly. Junghwa looked worriedly at Hyun-Ah.
"Hyun-Ah, are you okay?" Junghwa asked, leading her friend over to the nearest bench. She sat Hyun-Ah down, and Hyun-Ah leaned her head against Junghwa's shoulder. Just then, Junghwa spotted Kyuhyun walking towards them. His high school ended school a little bit earlier, so he often came to pick Hyun-Ah up. Han Geng was very busy, what with university and Super Junior 05.
"Hyun-Ah, Kyuhyun's here." Junghwa said, and Hyun-Ah opened her eyes. Kyuhyun and Hyun-Ah were official now. Kyuhyun had asked Hyun-Ah out a couple of weeks ago, and naturally, Hyun-Ah had accepted.
"Kyu..." she called, stretching her hands out. Kyuhyun reached them and pulled Hyun-Ah into a hug.
"Hey. Schedule busy again?" he asked, smiling gently at her.
"Mhmm..." she replied, burying her face in his shirt. Kyuhyun kissed her lightly on the head.
"Let's go home and sleep." Kyuhyun said.
"Okay... bye, Junghwa." Hyun-Ah murmured, waving at her friend. Kyuhyun waved goodbye, leading Hyun-Ah away.
"Bye Hyun-Ah, Kyuhyun!" Junghwa called, sighing. Eunjae and Jaekyung came walking up.
"Unni, where's Hyun-Ah?" Eunjae asked, scanning the area for their missing friend.
"She's probably gone home with Kyuhyun oppa." Jaekyung said. "She's been really busy lately, her schedule is pretty harsh."
"Yeah, Jaekyung's right." Junghwa confirmed. "She's in quite a few magazines now, but it's a lot of work."
"I hop she's going to be okay." Eunjae said softly.

~February, 2005~
"Hyun-Ah! Hyun-Ah!" Kyuhyun yelled. Hyun-Ah was waiting outside the gate with Junghwa, Eunjae, and Jaekyung. Her face was rosy, her eyes sparkling. One year ago, they had discovered that Hyun-Ah was anemic, just like Sungmin. Sungmin had helped Hyun-Ah learn to take her daily iron supplements, and they often took care of each other.
"Kyuhyunnie!" She beamed. Kyuhyun reached her and pulled her into a crushing hug, spinning her around. "Eep! Kyu, I can't breathe..." Hyun-Ah squeaked.
"They put me in Super Junior!" Kyuhyun whispered into her ear. Kyuhyun pulled away slightly, looking at Hyun-Ah. Her face was frozen in a look of surprise.
"Kyuhyunnie...really?" Hyun-Ah whispered in shock. Kyuhyun nodded. To his surprise, Hyun-Ah burst into tears, hiding her face from everyone.
"Hyunnie ah?" Kyuhyun said tentatively, wrapping his arms around her. Hyun-Ah shook her head, rustling his shirt.
"Hyun-Ah, are you okay?" Jaekyung asked, resting her hand on Hyun-Ah's shoulder.
"Mhmm!" Hyun-Ah said, raising her head. Kyuhyun was relieved to realize that his girlfriend had been crying from joy and not sadness, though he couldn't fathom why he had thought she would be sad.
"Hyunnie..." Kyuhyun nestled her head into the crook of his neck. She fit perfectly there, and Kyuhyun felt warmth spread through him.
"Kyu, I'm so happy for you! You made it!" she whispered into his ear, standing on tippy toes. She tugged on his hand. "Let's go see Han Geng." Junghwa, Jaekyung, and Eunjae were left, abandoned. All of them were thinking the same thing: 'I guess she really does have a short attention span.'

"Ge ge! Ge ge!" Hyun-Ah called, as soon as she got in the house. Leeteuk came out of the kitchen.
"Oh, Hyun-Ah!" he exclaimed, smiling, dimple showing. Hyun-Ah dropped Kyuhyun's hand, jumping on Leeteuk.
"Umma!" Hyun-Ah giggled, kissing Leeteuk childishly on the cheek. Kangin came out of the kitchen, where he had apparently been helping Leeteuk.
"Doesn't your appa get a hug and kiss too?" Kangin chuckled, picking the girl up and swinging her around. Hyun-Ah shrieked in wordless delight. Kyuhyun and Leeteuk watched in amusement.
"Kyuhyun! I haven't seen you here for a few days! What's the occasion?" Leeteuk said happily, cheerful as always.
Kyuhyun smiled. "Um, well, I'm not sure how this will be taken by everyone, but I've been placed in Super Junior." Leeteuk made no response for a few moments.
"Super Junior 06?" Leeteuk finally said. Kyuhyun shook his head.
"Super Junior. Now that I've been added, there aren't going to be any more generations. It'll be a permanent group." Kyuhyun said, looking down at the ground. This was what he was afraid of, that the Super Junior 05 members wouldn't accept him.
Kyuhyun felt arms wrapping around him. "Welcome to the family, Kyuhyun." Leeteuk whispered. "I get a new 'child' and I get to stay with my family? It can't get any better." Leeteuk beamed, Kangin and Hyun-Ah joining in the hug.
And Kyuhyun smiled, feeling warmth in his heart.
