after so long believing.... it's over.... he told me as bluntly as possible. turns out, i was wrong. there's no such thing as soul-mates. if i could be so wrong, then it can't be true. it's fantasy. a beautiful picture painted with the intent of giving children hope for the future. but it's not real. all lies. they must think us fools.

And my question, especially after a hard breakup like the one you and I have both suffered, is the same as yours. If we can love so intensely, what is it for? The only thing I can think of to get out of it is to not love so fiercely, next time.
But I also know that's not true. We love this intensely to prove to us that we can love so much. This way, when the right person DOES finally come along, we know for a fact that we are strong enough to love them, forever.
