Morgana's fake Russian accent and Merlin's unabashedl Arthur ogling because Arthur doesn’t have much going for him in the way of personality anyway, at least nothing he can discern, so Merlin reasons that he’s there to be looked at and doesn’t feel bad about being horrifically shallow had me howling. I thought Merlin had turned a corner, recognizing the attraction and actually moving toward acting on it. of course it's not that simple and he has to face the fact he's not just objectifying Arthur he's actually liking Arthur and that's kind of huge.

Liking Arthur is pretty easy. Liking all the rest of his nosy, pushy, concerned and loving friends is pretty easy, too.
