I agree that much of The Beatles' output from their earlier years is highly overrated and often fairly boring pop act stuff, but by the time they released Revolver and Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band they had attained a high degree of complexity and sophistication. They were a band who evolved and if you judge them on where they ended up, not how they started, I think they deserve more praise. After all, they were the Walrus. I wasn't the walrus and you weren't the walrus, and nobody else was the walrus. They alone were the walrus! Don't take that away from them!
