It's a virus, not the drugs themselves-- The virus could contaminate anything with a stable temperature, and infect anything that ingests it. That means food, as well. The virus show no variations or different strains, which means they come from the same source, and they're designed, not naturally developed. I can't find any records on something like this. Someone is making these drugs and purposefully infecting the drug supply. The virus will die if it doesn't find a host within days, which means the source is local. The virus itself seems to cause a redesign of the human body in areas, and the change in body chemistry is what causes the temporary psychosis.
