Can I be added? Admittedly most of the time I can't place the names and words you write because I've never even heard of them before, but that's really why I enjoy reading your journal.

You're on. (Oh! I haven't gone back to the fifth and six Records of a Floating Life, but I should now that I can sortakinda read classical Chinese if I squint and pretend that it's really Japanese in a funny word order with different rules and the like. Did you ever get a chance to ask your prof?)

Nope, but I don't think he's on-campus during for summer sessions, so my next resort is a physicist friend of mine who's got a bit of a background in Chinese lit. :D I did skim through it, though, and... wasn't able to get much at all. Sad.
