Fanime, Day Zero
...Which is mostly driving ^_^; But here it is, all the same.
I slept for a grand total of two hours Tuesday night, and 15 minutes when I could no longer focus my eyes on Thursday morning (and poor Roy had to work, and slept only barely more than that, LOL...zomg)...then finished Aqua, went and got Jamba Juice, and finally loaded everything into the car. Our costumes took up an ENORMOUS amount of room, even in Roy's dad's giant car. Poor Wife was crammed in the back with the lot. We went on an enormous fail!quest courtesy of the people at the wig store, ugh, let's not think about it, and then finally, finally on the road!
Anderson's! The 100-mile-mark. I'd like to say this was the first stop, but it totally wasn't. We had to keep stopping in order to keep ourselves from passing out. ^_^;;;
It was incredibly, unbelievably late by the time we finally managed to find our way to the hotel. Briefly appreciated the incredible awesomeness of our huge and brilliantly windowed room---
---and then passed out.
(We had an amazing view of Gotham, though.)
In other news...
I'm trying to go back to school for the Fall semester...which is always something I do way, way too late. Thankfully community colleges might still take me. I applied to the FAFSA, which now that I'm older no longer thinks that my parents are giving me some ridiculous amount of money (ha, ha, ha......yeah), so if they agree to help me pay for it...well.
Still difficult thinking of all the time I WON'T be working, but...argh, I miss school. And I need to go back sooner or later. Now that Japan looks like April at the earliest...I should make the most of my time.
If nothing else, SOCIAL DANCE CLASS.
