The following thread is excellent. One moment I was laughing until my sides hurt, the next I was shocked at the simple tragedy of the stories. I've got to share it. In short, you'll be reading about excerpts from middle school-level essay exams.

“The difficalt thaning that I thought is geting in troble by my dad. One day my dad got me a new gun. Then I was relouding it. When I shot my dog in the leg. So my dad said wy is the dog cring becasce I shot it in the leg.”

Her first baby. The paper briefly describes her pregnancy, and during the delivery, she was given some water to drink, but got some caught in her throat and started coughing. She “coughed hard,” and the baby shot out of her. The most unsettling thing about this paper was the way it was written; cheerfully and simply, like the kind of writing you’d expect from a Myspace full of pink backgrounds and sparkling text. It just made the subject matter even more surreal."

Wow this makes me scared for the future of the states. Things are getting worse and worse there.
