Thank you Mimmi ... what do people do on your world?

We... do nothing, really. But it is a tradition to name your children after deceased family members. I suppose that is one shared by many cultures, however.

You don't have funerals at all?

[That was a new voice.]

Alright ... come on down to Sergei's whenever you want. Or I could bring my guitar down to the temple on the flower deck if you wanted a more sacred place ... I'm not a priest but it might make things more appropriate.

My name's Katherine by the way ... I don't believe we've met.

Sergei's is fine. I'm on my way.

Oh forgive me. I'm Odette.

Well hello then Odette. I'll be the one on the stage, green dress, red hair, guitar ... shouldn't miss me.

[Gideon has someone in mind, but he's not about to suggest aforementioned person to Kate.]

Real nice of you to be doin' this for people, Firefly. You're a real gem.

Thank you. I'm only doing what my heart says. I know how sadness needs to be let out, you can't just hold it in forever.

[Nudge nudge Gideon. She knows you're burring stuff.]

Yeah, I know you do-- I already broke down all over you once. I think I learned that lesson. Now chin up, you're doing something nice for people.

You can break down anytime you need to Gideon. Men don't have to always be strong, that's a barbaric tradition of the southerners really.

[Where she was from, Chivalry was a concept for men and women. It helps when there were famous women warriors in your history.]

[Remy doesn't hold any belief in an afterlife. When someone's gone, they're gone. But that's not to say he doesn't remember and miss his friends.]

That's a lovely gesture, miss Kate.

[Kate, in a bright green dress, sat with her guitar on the stage. If she had thought this through, she'd be in a white dress or something more fitting of a memorial. It was sort of spur of the moment. She was quietly working on a tune, trying to find one that wasn't saddening, something to stir up good memories instead of bad ones.]
