[Gideon has spent his spare time looking high and low for his girlfriend, but the island was a big place and her relative comm silence made it hard to get a lead on where she could be. Eventually, though, the drummer's labors had borne some fruit.

He had spotted her, ducked back to the nearest establishment and fetched some chilled smoothies--citrus blend, of course-- then trotted back up to her.]

[She didn't seem to hear him for a bit, then looked over absently before smiling.]

[Kate was spooked by the unexpected and unknown voice. She turns quickly to look behind her, then smiles when she sees a friendly seeming face.]

Mage? Me ... no ... I'm a sorceress. At least that's what they call it on my world ... more of a bard really.

[She smiles lightly, wanting to seem non-threatening. Some people were afraid of magic she had learned.]

[Kate took the offered handshake, but she tried to clasp wrists before taking the hand. Ah, customs.]

[She fumbled with her little fireball, dropping it onto her bare stomach where it snuffed out from lack of fuel.]

[Remy looked to the surfboard then back to the bard.]
