[She gave her best mennacing glare and held up her hand, forcing a fist-sized ball of fire to appear. She had gotten good at making them on command, just not holding them for long. Or throwing them. Or doing much of anything with them.]

But no bother! Zeke can handle it. See, he's carrying them just fine. Until his bad leg decides to be a douche and he trips. Which sends the pile of books toppling over and him sprawled on the floor]

[She saw the man on the floor amongst the scattered books, and she dashes over to him.]
