NAME: Henry “Bumblebee” Jamerson

CODENAME: None

SERIES/SOURCE: Transformers (2007)

AGE: 16

GENDER: Male

ROLE: Student

BACKGROUND: Henry has had an affinity for cars since a very young age. This could probably be due to the fact that his toys as a kid were mostly cars. His father saw how his eyes lit up the first time he gave him one and he knew his son would follow in his footsteps. From the day he could hold a wrench, his father has been teaching him about cars.

Everyday after school, he would go to his father’s garage to do his homework just so when he finished he could help his father work on them. Once he went to high school, he immediately joined the Auto Club. Henry soon became the best of friends with the other members of the club.

Henry received the name “Bumblebee” as a nickname when he joined the club. It was a tradition in the club to give everyone a sort of nickname. They picked that name because he had a Bee sticker on his backpack courtesy of his mother.

His mutant powers manifested midway through his first year in High School. While reading an automotive book in his living room, he suddenly changed into a 1969 Charger. The living room was completely trashed and it took him an hour before he managed to change back.

When his parents arrived home, he explained what he had done to them. His parents were accepting of the fact that he was a mutant. Both had had mutant friends in the past and his mother had even gone to Mutants Rights rallies.

Henry’s mother initially told him about Xaiver’s Institute, but he decided against going to it. Two years later he would reconsider and decide to go and check the school out before officially joining.

PERSONALITY: Henry is a friendly and fun loving teenager. He is pretty easy to get along with, though he can be a bit immature and rude at times. He can also be very stubborn and hardheaded. When his mutation first occurred, he didn’t freak out much about it. Because of the way he Mother is, he saw it as being a gift instead of being a curse, like some may see it. His parents handled the situation well too and were very supportive of him.

He can be brave and courageous as well. Especially when it comes to his friends, he can be very protective of them as well. However, he will try to settle a potentially volatile situation without it resorting to violence. If the other party chooses to fight instead of backing off, then so will he.

APPEARANCE: Henry is about 5ft 9inches tall. He has short blonde hair and light blue eyes. He is slim and generally can be seen wearing something yellow (which happens to be his favorite color).

POWERS: Bumblebee possesses the mutant ability to shapeshift into any inorganic object. Through the use of this ability, he can shapeshift into vehicles, weapons, ect. Things like shapeshifting into a block of metal or sand is easy. But shapeshifting into a computer or car is something else entirely. He needs to know the inner workings of an object to change into it or he needs to have seen it at least.

Just seeing the inner workings of an object allows him to change into it, but controlling himself while in that form is a different story. Knowing how the object works is a giant help and allows how to have control of himself while in that form. Otherwise, he will not be able to use himself. Given time, he would learn how to do it, but if it is particularly complex then it will take time. It would be like trying to put together a thousand piece jigsaw puzzle without looking at the images on the pieces. It is possible but it would be very difficult and take a lot of trial and error.

While changed into an electronic he gains low spectrum technopathy allowing him to send and receives messages, search the internet, ect. If damaged or blown apart while transformed, he can heal himself by pulling his parts back together. The time this takes depends on the size of what he changed into and how damaged he is. For example, if he was blown apart while in car form, it’d take him at least 10 hours to pull himself back together.

Changing into an object does take a toll on him. He will start to get physically exhausted the more he does it. The rate at which this happens depends on the complexity and size of what he is changing into. However the more he changes into an object, the less of a toll it takes on him.

When he changes into some electronic, he becomes the energy source that powers it. If he is exhausted when he changes into that object, he won’t work that well if at all.
