FEBRUARY 15TH 2007'S RECOMMEN
MIGHT AS WELL DO THIS WEEK'S BY THIS WEEK CAUSE I WON'T BE HERE NEXT WEEK SO SEE YOU NEXT NEXT WEEK.
I haven’t listened to it this week, so this is all from Murasaki’s lovely blog here. Gogogogo if you can read Japanese, hers is a lot more detailed. Then come back and tell me what I missed!
Yoko lost his cell phone sometime during the week (he loses stuff a lot, last year he lost his wallet(s), cell phone, keys, even a jacket). On Thursday, because he used to always use his cell phone’s alarm to wake up… and he lost it, so he decided that sleeping with all the windows open might help him wake up early. (YOKO=SMRT) …He ended up not waking up on time and mad rushed onto the train. Because he was going to be late, he wanted to call someone to let them know but again, he lost his cell phone and also he doesn’t know the Johnnys’ office phone number. The train only uses telephone cards, so Yoko used 1 000 yen and bought one (he sounded quite miffed about spending ‘that much’ money), first he called his/his parent’s house but no one answers. Then he calls 104 (I guess this is some yellowpages phone directory thing) but Johnnys is not listed there. Then he finds a card with RECOMMEN’s number and thinks that he’ll be able to get Johnnys’ number from this guy at the radio station (think he’s pretty high up), but he’s not in right now. Then Yoko asks the receptionist for the number of the Johnnys’ office and the receptionist replies that she can’t answer him. He finally gets to the location (I guess they’re shooting something for SukaJ) and causes a ruckus cause no on knew where he was.
Then he apologies to the radio staff for his weird phone call today.
AND THUS ENDS A CHAPTER OF THE ADVENTURE KNOWN AS YOKOYAMA KIMITAKA’S LIFE…HAHAHAAH I CAN’T BELIEVE HE TRIED ASKING THE RECEPTIONIST FOR JOHNNYS’ NUMBER.
Tonight’s main project : Dragon Ball Quiz
Because Yoko+Hina are already Dragon Ball freaks and it’s a bit boring just having them ring a bell to answer, they have mini games for them to play and who wins gets to answer. So it’s like a game within a game. And like all games, there must be a punishment game. And like all punishment games, K Taro is part of the punishment. Whoever loses has to grant K Taro 3 wishes (I guess this is going with the whole Dragon Ball theme).
I KNOW VERRRYYYY LITTLE ABOUT DRAGON BALL SO… I SKIPPPPPED A LOT OF THE DB STUFF.
One of the games they had to play in order to answer questions were…who finishes drinking from a baby bottle faster (although Yoko did finish earlier, but because one of the staff determined there was still a little left in the bottle, Hina won and Yoko got pretty mad).
Oh! Another was who can come up with the more passionate/enthusiastic (marriage) proposal…
Hina : Won…won’t it be good if we were together? HAH, HE SEEMED A BIT IMPATIENT AND STUMBLED ON HIS WORDS.
Yoko : I won’t lose to anyone in my love for you! OR SOMETHING SIMILAR TO THIS.
The staff overwhelming chose Yoko’s and Hina cries foul because of “favouritism”.
Anyway, Hina loses (again) the whole game and has to grant K Taro 3 wishes.
Wish 1 ) self-confidence
Hina : Because you to RECOMMEN every Thursday, please bring enough confidence. HEH.
Wish 2 ) wants to become better looking
K Taro: Therefore…please change your clothes with mine!
It seems that they made Hina take off his T-shirt (which his friend who works at the brand gave him, it was the last one too) and the whole time he was screaming/yelling “Nonono, stopstopstop…” and about how K Taro’s mask will stretch it and so on. But they do get it off him and on K Taro.
Wish 3 ) please teach me a gag that’ll definitely kill
So Hina does this impersonation of…someone (I DON’T KNOW WHO), and then K Taro copies it. And they’re both pretty bad.
Yoko : This show’s (RECOMMEN in general, not the Feb15 show) no good, if we keep doing it like this, we’ll probably get closed down. Lately, we’ve been doing too much of the stuff we like.
Afterwards, when K Taro gives Hina back his T-shirt, he doesn’t put it back on because it had “gotten wet.” EW.
Hina : How did you sweat so much in so little time?!
Yoko : Hahaha, he was probably nervous yo.
Johnnys Station :
1) TOKIO’S show is moving to a new time
2) Atsuhiro Sato’s (guest from Feb1) play is starting
3) Okura’s puppet snake TV special
Yoko makes fun of Hina for reading “Kanjani’s Okura Tadayoshi” so coldly/formally from the script.

BOY, BETWEEN YOKO’S MANCRUSH ON YAMASHITA + LOVE FOR EMBARRASSING RYO AND HINA’S COMMENT FROM LAST YEAR HOW HE COULD TOTALLY NOT ONLY HIT ANY MEMBER OF NEWS ON THE HEAD (LIKE HOW HE DOES TO KANJANI) BUT CAN EVEN PUNCH THEM, THIS WILL BE INTERESTING.
They mentioned what they did on Valentines’ Day :
Hina went to see SHOCK, and Yoko spent it with an “ossan” (not OSSaN the group, but some man/guy from Osaka, he didn’t say who…just “ossan”), they went and ate snapping turtle. Apparently, Yoko kept repeating the fact that he drink the turtle’s blood. EHHHH….
Yoko asks a listener who in Kanjani she things is most like SonGoko from Dragon Ball and gets mad when she says Yasu and keeps insisting/repeating that he is the most similar. HE IS SUCH A KID NO?
On the topic of girls really like Vegeta from Dragon Ball :
Yoko : Leah Dizon said she likes Vegeta too…. Ahh, Leah-chan… SOUNDING VERY HAPPY+DREAMY
Hina : Wha? You’ve only met her once! Hahahaha.
A listener whose 2 sisters also like Johnnys:
Oldest sister is a Yasu (Kanjani) fan, second sister is a Kame (KATTUN)…
Yoko+Hina : …and what about you?
Listener : …………..Okura Tadayoshi.
Yoko+Hina : ahhhhhhh (big sighhhhhhhhhhh)
Hina : This is a bit of a setback.
Yoko : Are we missing something?
Listener : Eh? Nono…I think you’re fine the way you are…
Yoko+Hina : Thank you (half-heartedly).
AHAHAHAHAHHAAH.
From Taichi’s show : If you could change it, what name would you give yourself?
Yoko talks about how he’s not used to people calling him his real name Kimitaka and he gets embarrassed when they call out his name at the hospital. Then he goes on to talk about how at first he didn’t really like the name Kanjani, how it doesn’t really separate them from the juniors (he’s talked about this on Shounen Club Premium…how when the staff calls “Kanjani” both Kanjani and the KANsai JOHNNY juniors would respond). So now they just call them “members,” but Yoko’s not sure which members they’re talking about cause the juniors also have their groups now.
Yoko’s most recent irritating tale…
Yoko talks about how he was wearing this red down jacket from the calendar shoot one day and when he got into a taxi the driver said “Just as I thought, you really stand out” and Yoko got really happy because now that he’s on a TV show his face is becoming more known….but it turns out that the driver was talking about his red jacket being the thing that stands out.
HAHAHA, THAT’S A BIT SAD+FUNNY AT THE SAME TIME… BUT REALLY, YOKO IS BECOMING MORE FAMOUS THOUGH, A COUPLE WEEKS AGO HE TALKED ABOUT HOW PEOPLE HE SEE ON THE TRAIN PLATFORM WOULD TELL HIM TO WORK HARD… MOSTLY OLD LADIES BUT STILL…HAHAHAHAHAHA.
They do a couple of “Who from Kanjani is who from Dragon Ball” I SKIPPED.
Yoko has to get up early for filming the next morning :
First, he out loud that he’s dead tired right now (HAH, ALWAYS SO PRO) and that everyone should all watch “Haikei” next week cause he’s in the “highlight” scenes but then remembers that RECOMMEN is on at the same time and tells everyone to definitely watch/listen to both.
Then he ends the show by rambling on about who’s coming next week:
Yoko : Next week…NEWS… KATTUN…. Arashi are coming…
Hina : You think Subaru would be free next week? AHHHHH YESPLEASE PLEASE GET SUBARU ON THE SHOW… NEWS+SUBARU IN THE SAME ROOM WOULD BE SO AWKWARDLY AWESOME … WHICH MEANS IT PROBABLY WON’T HAPPEN.
Yoko : Even though we say it…it’s because we’re lie without concern (or lie recklessly) on this show. SO NO SUBA EH?
