AT THE SAME TIME IT WOULD HIT THE ENTIRE INDUSTRY WITH A NET LOSS OF OVER 4.6 BILLION DOLLARS WHICH AFFECTS THE BOTTOM LINES OF THE OIL COMPANIES. THEREFORE SEPT. ( Read more... )

oh people, people

it doesn't matter who is in charge.... oil will still own the world

hurricane is the reason why the sudden jump in gas prices... here in syracuse we went from 2.56 to 2.80 to 3.10 and tomorrow its supposed to be near 4.00!

it also doesn't help that the refineries are near louisiana so that just doesnt help either, AND its labor day when most places raise prices as it is........

the country allbeit seems like it is poor is far from dying.

and a new source of energy would cost far more than what we have... thats why the hybrid cars are far more expensive than a 50mpg rice burner.

by not buying gasoline, the prices would only rise significantly more to make up for revenues lost. this is not a good idea at all. Yes it sucks, yes I have rent to pay, blah blah, etc, but it's not like the government or the oil companies are doing this to harm us. We are running low on supplies of a natural resource. If higher prices means people buy a little less and it saves a little more, so be it. And now that three refineries have been hurt by the hurricane, it's only expected that prices rise with less of a supply flowing through the country. The prices hurt you and I, but it's the only rational thing. This hurricane hurt the entire country, and this is how we have to pay for it.

Time to go to class....lataaaaaa.
