Was just browsing Google News. Ever notice the overuse of the phrase "brutal murder"?

Is there such a thing as a murder that isn't brutal?

Not in the US, where murders and depictions thereof are commonplace and perfectly fine for kids to see on TV (but heaven forbid they see a bare breast!) To be "brutal" they have to involve disembowelment or something.
