After tonight's workout I was lying on the floor of the gym, totally fucked, and I realised there was steam coming off me. Is that a good thing or a bad thing?
Yesterday was a rest day, which was excellent, since it turns out I've caught wifey's cold (though nowhere near as bad as her, I just sneeze now and then, keep trailing off mentally and sleep a lot). Which also goes a bit of a ways to explaining my crap effort on Wednesday night.
Given that I was crook I didn't expect too great a performance tonight, which is pretty much what happened. Tonight's workout was:
12 sets of:
10 burpees
10 squat jumps
20 scissor jumps
To be completed in minimal time (32 minutes to complete eight of the sets- read on for explanation).
Az and I both made it to set number eight and then gave up. It's the first night we haven't managed to complete the entire day's program but I'm not too worried, I'm mostly stoked I did the workout at all :)
I'm back on the diet, more or less, although being a bit more laid-back about it. Today most of my meals were paleo-approved stir fry, a bit of bread here and there and some nuts. Also went out to lunch with
green_queen and ate an OK meal. It had a bit of bread and I'm pretty sure sausages aren't healthy no matter what sauce you put them in, but by and large I wasn't too bad today :)
Saturday should be exciting- Az, his girlfriend, wifey and I are having a dinner at our place. The goal is for Az and I to cook for Bec and Pip and follow the diet plan completely. I have no idea why I put my hand up for dessert but it's going to be a taste sensation... the only taste will probably be apricots, but they'll be SENSATIONAL apricots!
