Sorry about the size.

Uh, no-- and, tragically, I like her even LESS after watching the concert (hey, it was free and after a baseball game I went to with coworkers-- why not? I lasted half an hour. She gets an A for effort, but that's about all I can say that's postive about the experience.)

I know, rodeo is awesome! I hadn't been to one in about 10 years so this one was a lot of fun-- I took pix of multiple events, but this was best (buckin bronco).

And thank you about the tat! Do you have any yet? :) Or are you waiting til England?

Nice tat. What is it exactly and why?

I really love the fact that the sign behind the cowboy
says "Rim Country".
ehehehehehehehehhehe

So I'm guessing from your lackluster comments that Jessica Simpson is exactly what I would expect in concert- lazy, just putting enough effort to get by- and putting as much or more effort into her outfit? Did she sing country or pop? Not that it makes a difference to your rate of deafness....

No, she actually put a lot of effort into it, it still just... failed. The sound was off (not necessarily her fault), she was off-pitch (the band was amazing, though!), I just don't think her voice/style is suited to country, the songs she actually wrote herself were not understandable/memorable/catchy (the ones she covered were better), and-- she's probably a very nice person in reality-- she just came off as vapid and constantly (even during normal conversation) did the sex-kitten/porn star dramatic thing with her hair. But she tried, at any rate.

I also thought the "Rim Country" sign was a funny coincidence (it technically IS rim country, near the Grand Canyon), considering the conservative Christian nature of the rodeo.

The tat is a design I found; it is a pomegranate with branch/leaves and flower. Pomegranates represent life to me as well as the whole being a Jewish symbol with 613 seeds for the mitzvot.
