*in a wise sounding voice* You've been living with your parents for too long. You were too far removed from college dormitories/apartments when you were left on your own.
Let's see....Because they quickly add up in $, are wasteful (cardboard and plastic that just gets thrown out), and unless you pay more $ for the HEALTHY frozen dinners - it's fattening and bad for your general health and energy levels!
One thing to invest in - a rice cooker. Make rice on a regular basis, add some fresh or frozen veggies you've zapped in the microwave (frozen veggies are better/healthier than canned) and your choice of meat. Fast, filling, inexpensive!

Well, actually, it's not all that bad -- if you put the dishes in to soak while you eat, they're nearly clean by the time you finish.
