My best friend Sara is on the Duke Women's Fencing Team. (She's also going to armorer's camp this summer) After going to a few of the matches and having her teach me some of the basic fencing moves on the quad with lightswords (w00t WalMart and cheesy clashy sounds), I must say that it is quite an awesome sport you have gotten yourself into.
Awesome. I am a pretty good armorer already, from the start I believed its always better to build your own weapons because then you feel like you put some of yourself into the weapon. I would actually like to talk to Sara about fencing in college, she might be able to give me some good info.
hey, yeah! I'm sure she'd love to talk to ya. Just IM me, and I'll give you her sn and tell her who you are so she doesn't block you or whatnot. If you ever want to take a tour of the Duke fencing facilities, I know she'd hook you up. She's taken me back there and it's FREAKIN' AWESOME. A lot of the door handles and hooks and such are made out of old foils and the practice room is decorated with banners and foils and helmets. It's really impressive. You should come up here sometime :)

That trophy is truly the epitome of "badass."
