Lightning is great. I was amazed by the frequency and magnitude of the storms when I visited the SW a few summers ago.

The other day I was looking at a national weather map and everywhere except the NW and an area in the midwest was covered in T-storms. Lucky bastards..

The primary ozone production occurs in the stratosphere when UV radiation reacts with O2. Not trying to sound like a pompous asshole, just sharing one of the few interesting things I remember from my Atmospheric Science class.

You mean the UV rays that give us sunburns and cancer are replenishing the very ozone layer that's supposed to protect us from them? Silly UV rays...

BTW Eric, how come you never write in your own journal anymore?

Indeed! UV radiation plays an integral part in the survival of life on this planet. How ironic!

I can't remember why I stopped updating my journal.. maybe I'll update it sometime soon.
