Throwing in Lidle was completely awful because if we had kept him, we could have offered him arbitration and either got him at a reasonable (read: roughly what he's worth) salary if he accepted, and if he refused, we could have gotten likely 2 compensatory first round draft picks when someone else signed him.
And your faith in Nunez is irrational and ridiculous. He's awful, he's worse than Bell, and the fact that he's actually going to start the next 50 games at third makes me want to vomit a lot.
Gillick is doing an awful job so far this year.

Yes thats right, All Star in Philly = solid backup in New York :)
And thanks for Lidle, we've been hurtin at the back end of the rotation, and it let us unload Chacon, who was brilliant down the stretch last year but has been terrible ever since. Lidle's mediocre, but he'll be new to most of the AL teams and he can put in the 6 innings a game we need before the pen takes over, and lord knows we can score enough to compensate for his shortcomings, esp now that we have Abreu :)
