Just before all this storm stuff came up, I acquired a large external hard drive to back up the content of the various machines around the house. Unfortunately I can't seem to get my machines to see it properly - probably something related to the wonky AT&T DSL router/modem I have. Longterm I'm sure I can come up with a good solution; short-term

Other than gmail, I suggest something paid, because that's the way to get something you can bitch about. Short term, I'm trying Dropbox and if you have less than 2 GB of files, it's probably a good bet.
