(An extra tidbit: I wrote all of these in Economics. Which is why I now don't understand anything.)

Twenty Random Facts About Penelope Clearwater

1. Penelope’s family has only been magical for four generations. She is the strongest witch the Clearwaters have ever produced, and the first Ravenclaw.
   
   
2. Once, when her dorm mates didn’t realize she was within earshot, Penelope listened as two “friends” ridiculed her and called her “emotionally distant” and cold.
   
   
3. Percy Weasley was her last boyfriend and the worst kisser of them all.
   
   
4. Penelope is the oldest of four. She has a younger brother, and two much younger sisters, Frances and Corinne.
   
   
5. Defense was Penelope’s best subject. When she applied for the Order, McGonagall and Lupin voted to accept her at once. “She has no compunctions about killing,” is how McGonagall put it. “She’s almost heartless,” said Lupin. Moody voted against her-“She reminds me of Snape.”
   
   
6. Pregnancy was painful for Penelope. She had vicious morning sickness, swollen ankles, and scabies. Her first child, therefore, was her last.
   
   
7. The reason Penelope married Percy was because she loved him. She just didn’t love him for all the ordinary reasons.
   
   
8. Penelope has more to do with Percy’s exile from the Weasley family than most people think.
   
   
9. Nobody calls her Penny.
   
   
10. As a child, Penelope loved horror stories. She found that frightened feeling in the pit of her stomach to be exciting. Her first meeting with the Grey Lady of Ravenclaw is her fondest memory of first year.
    
    
11. Even Snape thought she was an unusual child, and recognized Penelope’s lack of scruples (though she tempered this flaw with wise choices). “She has the conscience of a Death Eater,” he noted once. “But she’s far too intelligent to join them.”
    
    
12. At night, she sleeps with her head nestled in Percy’s shoulder, legs twined with his. Gangly as he is, being in his arms makes her feel safe.
    
    
13. Penelope’s sister, Corinne, was killed by Death Eaters in the same attack that saw the demise of Arthur, Charlie, and Ginny. It was Corinne or Percy, and Penelope had only a split second to choose.
    
    
14. Penelope hates the legendary woman she was named for. Secretly, she wishes she had been called Helen, but when faced with her reflection in the mirror, she knows patient, determined Penelope suits her.
    
    
15. She was nearly Sorted a Slytherin.
    
    
16. Penelope and Percy started sleeping together sixth year. Their meetings were commonplace by seventh year, especially as they were appointed Head Boy and Head Girl with adjoining rooms. Neither of them were prepared for Penelope’s accidental pregnancy in March, particularly Penelope. As far as Percy knows, she miscarried.
    
    
17. It was Percy’s idea for Penelope to become an Auror; she was planning on being a medi-witch, until Percy (with little tact himself) pointed out that she had virtually no bedside manner.
    
    
18. Her only child adores her, and sees no shortcomings in Penelope’s character or maternal behavior, though Molly Weasley has a thing or two to say.
    
    
19. Penelope adores hot chocolate, especially topped with whipped cream. She has never liked tea, because she has very white teeth, and wants them to stay that way.
    
    
20. Her first word was “Why?”
