YAY I'm so happy that you posted this!

This chapter was wonderful. I loved that Arthur finally understood why Gwen turned him down and then respected her wishes. And giving her the puppy was the sweetest thing ever!

I just hope that Gwen works out that she loves Arthur too and they have sex again!

Arthur was really wonderful in this chapter. I love how he was kind of agressive in wanting to be intimate, but backed off when he realized that she just wasn't ready.

Gwen blaming herself is so natural, especially considering how she belives that her most important duty is to give birth to a son. It will be nice to see as she matures just how much she realizes she has to offer Arthur in addition to possible heirs.

I also liked how Gwen is still confused about her feelings for Arthur and wasn't like "Oh My God, He loves me and guess what I love him too!" I think she still has a way to go because she feels being vulverable.

And that puppy? It made me smile.

I do have a few thoughts: It doesn't seem that they know about Morgana's pregnancy. Will she back in the story soon? Will Elyan have a bigger role? What about Merlin? So far he's almost non existent? Does he have a big role in this narrative?

Can't wait for the next chapter

Thanks. I didn't want to rush Gwen into realizing that she loves him too. I have planned an event for her to admit that...which is giving me some trouble,but hopefully I'll have it finished soon.

Morgana's pregnancy is known. I haven't really made it a big thing yet. And Elyan will slowly gain a larger role, especially once Arthur becomes king.

And for Merlin?

He'll be having a big part of the beginning of "The Queen" concerning him and Gwen.

One thing that I really appreciated about this chapter (and others) is the realistic way in which you've handled the physical part of their relationship. Although sex is important to a healthy marriage and certainly ought to be a part of it, there are many ways to show someone you love them. I think sometimes more novice writers assume that if characters have sex then the implication is that they love each other, but that isn't always true - you do a good job of keeping the relationship real.
