I lost my Grandpa today. Now they're both gone. It hurts. Alot. More than I ever thought it would. They practically raised me. A piece of my world is gone forever. A hole in my heart.

Oh honey, I am so, so sorry! Was this "expected?" I mean, was he ill? No matter -- it's always a shock, any way it comes. ((((((((((((((((((((huge hugs))))))))))))))))))))))))

No. It just happened. He had a heart attack and was taken to the hospital. They got him stable and were planning surgery to put a pacemaker in to regulate his heartbeat, and then he was just gone. His heartbeat slowed and slowed and then he was gone. I'm still in shock.
