Since this was only added to coinage during the 1950s in response to the "red scare," I guess I do not see the problem. The motto of this country, until the "red scare" was "E pluribus, unum." "Out of the many, one."

I will have to agree to disagree with you on this one. This is a secular nation, with separation of church and state. Explicit religious references do not belong on our money. :-(

I agree with you on that as well. For both reasons. That phrase was not always on our coinage and not every person in this country believes in God.

I sure wouldn't want money to say 'In Allah We Trust'.

I do think it is better not to have references to God on money. First of all there are Americans who do not trust in God, or trust in him by a different name, and then there is the directive to render unto Caesar what is Caesar's. Money is certainly Caesar's and should reflect that.

So I too will have to agree to differ.
