This fandom has completely eaten my brain. I'm currently about 5,000 words in to the first chapter of a 10 chapter (or so) story I'm working on, and Sherlock and John weren't supposed to have/realize any feelings for each other until pretty much the end. But they keep touching? And being protective of one another? I know that is basically canon but

You're right - really intense UST practically is canon! So I can see that it would be a difficult line to walk. I don't envy you keeping it believable. I look forward to the fic in due course. :D

Thank you! I've never read Tuesdays with Morrie but I feel like I should, just to write a Sherlock parody of it :)

I think I've worked out a way to let the boys get the protectiveness and excessive touching out of their systems for several chapters, but of course it involves adding in a whole new scene.

(You may not remember this, but once upon a time you offered me your beta-reading and Brit-picking expertise. If that offer still stands I might soon have a ridiculously long first chapter in dire need of your help!)
