From Wendy Shalit's Modesty Zone blog...
Bradford Wilcox, Professor of Sociology at the University of Virginia had a "friendly giant" presence and an ability to make logic and scientific inquiry human. You mentioned this study to me before, and I made the point that those who live together before marriage are more likely to be religiously liberal and are therefore probably less morally opposed to the idea of divorce. It would follow that such couples might be more likely to decide that divorce is an appropriate course should their marriage hit the rocks (as opposed to the religiously conservative couple, who are more likely to think it best to rough it out no matter what). Do you have a link that provides more details about this study ( ... )

First of all, divorce between religious and non-religious
people is at nearly identical rates. (Only "Evangelical
Christians" tend to have a substantially lower divorce
rate.) No, I don't have a detailed link, but it shouldn't
be terribly difficult to google for one..

Secondly,If you don't trust your partner, you shouldn't be dating them, much less living with them.
This is a catch-22... How can you learn to trust someone
without getting to know them? And don't we typically call
that stage "dating?"

Finally, if you genuinely trust and love someone, then
why not commit?
