I'm intending to indulge in a ritual burnination of all my maths notes on Friday afternoon from about 3/4pm on East sands and all are welcome to join me in purging themselves of their filthy academic work, or just come for the pretty fire ( Read more... )

While, yes, I can always look stuff up online, I do still need my old notes ... especially when I'm looking for a good way to teach something! (Hooray for ripping off old learning aids!)

You remember what happened last time Rocksoc tried to burn stuff on the beach! Maybe the police will confiscate all your notes for you - at least you'll still be rid of them that way.

Sounds like that would be a good enough solution, anyway. Although not as much fun...

Hoi!
I'm the god of hellfire.

Um, I hate to be a killjoy, but please remember that someone will have to clear up whatever mess you make at the east sands, and picking up large amounts of slightly singed bits of paper which have flow off a bonfire is something I've been having to do a lot lately, it takes ages and means we get behind on our rounds. Which means somewhere else gets messy, we get hassle and everyone gets anoyed. Please try and burn everything and keep it tidy, ash is easy to get rid off, just kick sand over it. Paper everywhere is a soding nighmare.

I hate being resposable sometimes.
