Beef sukiyaki at Yayoi. I really should figure out a beef sukiyaki recipe for at-home use. It won't look much like the set meal here, but I'd like to master that sweet-and-savory flavor.
dracosphynx and I hit up the Cafe Venetia next to Yaoi afterward, and I tried their hot chocolate. Pretty thick stuff. Next time I should just get a berry cake or something. -.-
A berry pancake at the Lazy Dog restaurant. It was quite good! It came with a huge boat of whipped cream and a side of syrup but I didn't feel the need to slather any of that on, it was quite flavorful as it was. The pancake was interestingly constructed, I'm wondering if what happened was that they poured the berries on first, then the batter on top, then flipped it?
Yeah, In-and-Out Burger. My car developed a flat tire so I rushed to BMW to get it fixed; while I waited, I figured I'd get lunch nearby, and this was the only obvious place. It was pretty decent.
Here's a food truck at Google! This is one of... a whole lot of themed food trucks. Each has its own set of menus. I've been really enjoying the Oishii Japanese Curry food truck... but I don't have a picture of that truck, and the food itself looks like your basic Japanese curry. I documented this one because I like the cat theme and the food itself is somewhat novel.
This is the menu. Each of the food trucks offers three choices, usually one will be purely vegetarian and the other two will cater to meat-eaters.
This is the "spicy kalbi beef" burrito. It was quite good. ^.^
