The smartphone saves my backside, repeatedly

Just to be honest about things: planning this trip the way I did was absolutely crazy. Yeah. Not exactly well planned or wise. Some might even call it crazy.

Some might call it that; I call it an adventure. In fact I'd go so far as to call it living. (Be careful, you might get addicted!)

What's the Shinkansen like? I often travel by train, so I'm curious.

At least it's an adventure. :)

Heh. GMTA!

This sounds like so much fun! I admit I tend to be a Type-A traveler, preplanning everything weeks/months in advance, but a trip like this where you just wind up somewhere and...do something, sounds like a very fun experience! I'd be put off by the language barrier, but even that is part of the fun.

(The one time I've been to Japan, I initially thought I could navigate the signage and rail directions just using pattern recognition of the characters. That of course went to hell the first time I learned about hiragana, katakana, and kanji!)

Fuck wisdom of the scared conventional fear monagers. You have mad skills. Keep seeing new things, traveling, doing things! Yes, you have limits. Yes, self care is needed. Yes you are wise enough to know these. Keep doing!
