Moves...?

So.... Dreamwidth? Yes, or no?

And, resuming writing longform for friends to read? Anybody still want me to do that? I do miss it, but I don't claim enough ego to think others really do.

I like longwrites, because Facebook and Twit suck.

I have created a Dreamwidth account, but have yet to initiate content migration. I have, however, set my LJ-Backup scripts to backup twice-weekly instead of twice-monthly. Just in case. o_o;

I will often post to here from my DW journal, but I almost exclusively read here. And long form is nice because everything else is geared toward short form...

I tried DW and found it to be no better or worse then LJ other then most all the people I read or who read me are here, even if they rarely do so any more. I suppose if the rumors are true or even if they are not I should initiate some sort of backup plan to my own WordPress server. (Suggestions anyone?)

As for long form writing, call me old but you cannot convey much thought in a tweet and FB has become the page where families trade photos in between invasive ads.

My short answer is I enjoyed reading your posts so LF and here on LJ for the now.

I'd love to continue reading your posts!

Is Dreamwidth where all the cool kids are going these days?

It's where I went anyway. :) It's pretty super-easy to migrate your entire journal to Dreamwidth and you can apparently easily cross-post from it back to LJ.

Long-form blogging is sometimes really useful, IMO.

On Dreamwidth v. Livejournal, well... one of the two just disabled https access. That should really say all that needs to be said about that.
