Thanks guys. I'm really more surprised than upset.
I'm apparently still getting two weeks off over xmas so my major concern has been dealt with. It's a crap thing to have done, but I'll spend the break looking at options. I'm not in any great rush and I can always move to sydney if I've got nothing else going on.

Aimee: Yes....but the timing is inconvenient. Plus it makes me have to be motivated and stuff.....
