Right, so I was glimpsing over the job listings at the Tulane website, and I noticed that most were on Magazine Street, which I've Heard is in walking distance. And I, knowing nothing about N.O. or the Tulane area (yeah, I'm JUST realizing this!!), would like to know if it's a super far or do-able walk, and also, if it would be safe walking back ( Read more... )

where did u find those listings?

If I were you.. i'd wait a week or 2 but NOLA public transit is great so that shouldn't be a problem.

Correction. Street car transportation is terrific. The public bus system is something noone should ever do in their lives, if they value it. Magazine is fairly close. You can just take Broadway (main campus road, fraternity row, etc.) all the way to the end and it runs into Magazine. However Magazine is also an extremely long street as it runs all the way downtown. So find out where exactly on Magazine it it. Id say its about a half mile to a mile to get from campus to the beggining of Magazine.
