Are any of you involved in the TIDES program?
It is really interesting or does it become annoying after a while?

I have heard tell that TIDES becomes an extremely frustrating waste of time. This is from ... at least 4 of my friends. I personally didn't take one.

Yeah, TIDES is kind of lame. Mine was okay, but it was at a terribly inconvenient time and it just becomes incredibly dull. Some really liked their TIDE classes, though, so don't necessarily take it from me.

I took the visual arts new orleans one and really enjoyed/recommend it. We got to meet a lot of local artists and went on two field trips. Plus, we got to go out to eat at Jacques-Imos on Tulane. I also took the Leadership one in the fall and didnt really like it, so I guess it depends on which one you take.

Music and culture of New Orleans is fun if you want to get to know the history of the city and go on lots of field trips.

I did music and culture and I hated it. Just a waste of time and not worth it. Although the field trips were cool but you can do most of those with Lagniappe anyway.
