I am in Monroe, and I think it is pretty nice. They just redid it this past summer, so we have all new furniture and things... however, like breigh said, try for a floor with a lounge. My floor doesn't have one, and it feels awkward invading another floor's lounge. Or try for the new residential college.
I'm in Butler and I love it. The rooms aren't the greatest and for some strange reason my room is freezing all the time but the people are awesome. I've lived on two different floors and I have had a ton of fun on both of them. Its good cause everyone is down to earth and just wants to hang out. Very social too everyone will always say hi and ask who you are.
i adore sharp. all are actually fun and have a good mix of people. but they are all a similar typical crappy freshman dorms. it's the people that are important not how gross the community bathroom is. but if cleanliness is SUPER important, i'd go with J.L. or Warren.
I'm in JL and glad I didn't go anywhere else. They are the nicest dorms and while a lot of girls do rush, I don't think it really matters. You're still seeing them in a casual-friendly-ish relationship and you don't have to deal with all the disgusting crap that you have to with all the other dorms. Plus life here is a lot less like "College!! Let me fuck everything in sight!!" which, for me is good. An analogy for the co-ed dorms is that they're like those field trips you took with your high school to Washington D.C. or New York and spent a couple days there, drinking booze out of shampoo bottles and running through the hallways like you're on speed while kids are getting high in their hotel rooms. The all women's housing is much more like being at a private all girls boarding school.
