I completely understand and support your decision. No big deal. I'd have probably done the same. It sounds reasonable to me.

As my Jan 1 begins before yours, I'm saying "Please let stay" early, as it will be early then too ... or late if I get tangled up with the rellies (arriving tonight, with extra 12yo girls in tow!) or my internet connection lets me down (which it does constantly these days).

In the job I had before this one I was surrounded by Republicans and it was absolute hell so I completely understand what you're saying! Now there are only 2 confirmed in my office; it's such a joy to be around fellow Dems and lefties every day.
